Title: Software Developer
Location: Remote- PST hours
Duration: 12 Month Initial Contract
Compensation: $80-88/hr
Work Requirements: US Citizen, GC Holders or Authorized to Work in the US
Software Developer
Responsibilities: We are looking for a Senior Software Engineer to port a Groovy/Grails bidding application to Vue.js. This role will work with the IS Principal Software Engineer and other members of the Information Systems team.
Write Vue.js components to replace existing Grails views
Write Django mutations to update data from Vue application
Write tests for new components, resolve any bugs
Ensure code is developed, deployed, documented and maintained in keeping with IS guidelines
Attend regular check ins with IS Business Software team
Skillset / Experience: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or other technical degree
5+ years experience in professional software development
Excellent interpersonal, communication, and client-facing skills
Full stack web development experience
Expertise in Javascript/Typescript and experience with Vue.js
Fluency in Python and familiarity with Django
Proficient in SQL and GraphQL, experience with PostgreSQL or Oracle
Proficient in Linux and Docker
Experience with message queues like RabbitMQ
Experience with testing tools, especially Playwright
