Assigned duties may vary by location\u0026#39; however, all Transportation Drivers are expected to fill gaps in their traveling schedules with constructive job duties. \u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003e\u003cstrong\u003eDuties \u0026amp; Responsibilities\u003c/strong\u003e\u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cp\u003eThe following represents the essential functions of the Transportation Driver\u0026#39;s role. This list is intended to be a general description of duties and responsibilities; however, it is subject to change according to the needs of the facility determined by the Director of Nursing and/or Administrator. \u003c/p\u003e\n\u003cul\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eComplete and maintain adequate training regarding operation of the facility vehicle(s), vehicle equipment, safety harness/ strap system, transportation policies, transportation forms, vehicle checks, and reporting maintenance needs. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eTransport residents timely and safely by following van, lift, and strap system manufacturer guidelines. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eComplete facility errands requiring a vehicle to include but not limited to transporting resident belongings, facility equipment, documents, medication, shopping needs for residents, specimens, etc. to desired location as determined by the Director of Nursing an/or Administrator. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAct as facility liaison to communicate any occurrences and information from medical entities with the facility such as progress notes, follow-up appointments, etc. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAlways provide distraction free operation of facility vehicles. No cell phone usages during vehicle operation.\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003e Always lock vehicle upon parking/ leaving unattended. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAssure residents are fed appropriately by bringing prepared snack/meal from the dietary department. If unplanned/ prolonged trip causes resident to miss a meal, provide required documentation for meal expenditure(s) in a timely manner. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMay sit at the nurses\u0026#39; station to monitor resident needs, answering call lights, answering phones, and assisting with facility workflow. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMay assist with scheduling appointments and/or notification of resident and/or their responsible party of upcoming or rescheduled appointments. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMay assist with supplies ordering, stocking, and/or inventory.\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMay assist with medical record organization and filing.\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMay, if Certified Nursing Aid, assist with resident on the hall or during meal service.\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003euse appropriate tone and professional phone etiquette with residents, healthcare providers, visitors, and vendors. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eCommunicate messages in writing or verbally to the appropriate personnel without delay. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAssists and directs visitors and vendors to appropriate facility staff or resident location. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMay assist in documenting complaints or medical records requests and is familiar with facility policies and procedures. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMay retrieve faxes and distribute them timely/ appropriately. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMay have data entry responsibilities to include, but not limited to census and lab orders. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMaintains a clean facility vehicle stocked with supplies as needed and/or vial the vehicle supplies checklist. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMay assist with housekeeping/ environmental services duties such as keeping work area and/or nurses/ stations clean, chart rooms clean and organizes, helping with spot cleaning in high touch areas. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMay monitor doors, be assigned to Fire Watch duties, be assigned to resident one on one supervision, and enforce sign in/out logs. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMay assist other facility personnel or perform special projects as needed. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMay complete other clerical tasks as assigned by supervisors. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMust act in ways that promote professional and positive representation of the facility to the community. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eCommunicates in professional and courteous manner using effective verbal and non-verbal communication skills with residents, their families, co-workers, care providers, and vendors. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMaintains confidentiality of department, resident, employee information, communication, and documentation as well as compliance with the Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations.\u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eRecords working hours per company policy. Clocks in and out for all working/ training hours. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eMaintain compliance with Legacy\u0026#39;s Compliance program and plan. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli\u003eAdhere to Legacy\u0026#39;s Code of Conduct and Dress Code. \u003c/li\u003e\n\u003cli style=\
