In this critical position, your responsibilities include the delivery, receipt, and meticulous handling of goods within our storage areas. Your tasks extend to inspecting incoming goods for damage and discrepancies, as well as proficiently loading and unloading vehicles.
Operating machinery with precision is a fundamental aspect of this role, involving the lifting, placing, and removal of goods according to established protocols. As a key custodian of our product's integrity, you will play a pivotal role in maintaining security within the stores. Additionally, your duties will include cruising through winter wonderland conditions driving staff and transferring stock to satellite outlets, contributing to the efficient distribution of goods across the ski area.

About the role
To ensure safe, timely and correct storage and delivery of goods
Unloading of the delivery truck
To accurately check off all inwards goods against invoices/packing slips
All stock count procedures are followed to allow accurate tracking of inwards goods
Order and/or store products according to stock rotation and food safety procedures
All discrepancies regarding inwards goods are notified to the HOD daily
Your uniform is maintained in a tidy state and is clean and presentable at all times
Completing tasks and necessary record keeping required by the Food Control Plan e.g maintaining cleanliness of the basement area, temperature checking food and equipment.
Help other areas of the Food and Beverage Department during downtimes or as requested
Cost control awareness
Promoting sustainability in the way of limiting wastage, and the efficient use of resource
Maintaining positive relationships with suppliers
About You
An eye for detail and good administrative skills are essential to ensure accurate invoices and purchase orders are received, departmental transfers are completed and processed
Great communication skills are essential to ensure any discrepancies and damaged goods are reported & dealt with to ensure the team can put out a consistent offering
Experienced in the use of Microsoft Office suite
Proven experience in working autonomously along with sound decision-making skills
The ability to engage and build a rapport with suppliers
The ability to be flexible- you may be required to assist in other areas of the mountain
A New Zealand driver’s license is compulsory (Training in winter driving conditions will be provided)
Forklift endorsement (may be provided)
